Mr. Willard “Willy” Scott, age 82 of Madison, Tennessee passed away on Thursday December 30, 2021. He was born on May 6, 1939 in Elys, Kentucky. He is preceded in death by his adoptive parents William and Hattie Scott, stepfather Lloyd Hall, son Darryl Kirk, grandson Bobby Kirk, brothers Brian Moore and Gary Hall, and brother-in-law Mark Harrold. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years Lena Scott; children Denise Kirk, Dana Zettlemoyer (Lee), and Dawn Kirk; mother Norma J. Hall; brothers Dwayne Hall (Lena) and Phillip Hall (Lisa); sisters Susie Farrell, Betty Harrold, and Shirley Booker; as well as six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and a host of loving extended family.
From an early age, Willie loved just about anything with wheels. Cars, motorcycles, even roller skates, he loved it all. When he was younger, he worked at his step-father’s gas station fixing cars, and eventually became a radiator mechanic. He loved to fix cars, as well as doing custom paint jobs on cars and motorcycles every now and then. Willie also loved blues music and never missed watching Fox News when it was on. Family was very important to Willie, especially his “Sweetie” Lena. He would always say, “I had to come to Tennessee to find an Oklahoma woman.” Willie was well loved, and will be dearly missed.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service with be held on Saturday, January 22 at 12pm at Spring Hill Funeral Home.
