William Alvin Wilson, Jr.'s Obituary
Wilson, William Alvin Jr. "Rip" -Age 65 of Nashville passed away on Saturday, March 5th at his home. He was born in Asheville, NC and served in the US Army. He was honorably discharged after six years of service. He moved to Nasvhille in 1964 to play on the Grand Ole Opry. He was a respected musician and played his guitars with passion every time he picked them up. He had a great fondness for Elvis Presley: the man, the music, the entertainer. He also enjoyed hunting and had a love for fishing. He was an avid gun collector as well. He loved his friends and family and will be missed by all who knew him. He is preceded in death by his mother, Martha Nell Wilson. He is survived by his father, William Alvin Wilson, Sr. of Asheville, NC; son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Christy Wilson;and grandsons, Eli and Ethan Wilson, all of Nashville. He is also survived by several uncles, aunts, and numerous cousins all left to cherish his memory. Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 12th from 2-4PM and a Memorial Service will follow in the chapel officiated by Rev.
