William Henry Bagwell, III.'s Obituary
William Henry Bagwell III, age 92, of Fleming Island, Florida passed away on Sunday, June 5, 2022. William was born in Nashville, TN and graduated from North High School in 1950.
William served his country in the US Air Force from 1950 to 1954 serving in Okinawa, Japan during the Korean War. During this time he married his beautiful bride on October 6, 1951, Bonnie Jean.
After he was honorably discharged from the Air Force, he was employed at Ford Glass. He was a UAW (United Auto Workers) Member since 1957 and a Ford Man for Life. He retired from Ford Glass after dedicating 30 years.
He was predeceased by his son, William Ron Bagwell in 1985.
In 2017, William and Bonnie moved to Fleming Island to be close to family. He was a member of Island View Baptist Church.
Mr. Bagwell is survived by his loving wife, Bonnie Jean Goodwin Bagwell; devoted daughter, Marta Lynn Bagwell Powers (Roland Powers); two granddaughters: Jennifer Leigh Powers (John Benton) and Madison Nicole Powers; a great-grandchild, Aidan Joseph McClendon; and a host of extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be held, 11 AM, Thursday, June 9, 2022 at HARDAGE-GIDDENS RIVERMEAD FUNERAL HOME, 127 Blanding Blvd, Orange Park, FL. Burial will be at 1 PM, Tuesday, July 5, 2022 in Spring Hill Cemetery, Madison, TN.
