Mr. William (Buster) Barry's Obituary
William (Buster) Barry, age 65, passed away January 26, 2016. He was born January 31, 1950 in Nashville, TN to the late Curry Barry, Jr. and Marion Ellen Barry. Preceded in death by his father and sister Angela Barry. He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Kathy Barry; son Corey Barry (Bree); daughter Erica Pardue Stephens (Brian); mother Marion Ellen Barry; brothers George “Brazo” Barry (Diana), Joe Barry (Suzie), Phil Barry (Carol), Rick Barry, Chip Barry; sisters Beverly Barry, Leanne Reiter (Terry), and Ellen Barry; grandchildren Nick, Aaron, Tiffany, Jasmine, Brianna, Katie, John, and Beckett; great-grandchildren Evan, Kherington, Camden, and Bane.
Buster proudly served his country in the US Navy. He toured with Sing-Out-South and Up With People. He was a very active member of the Boy Scouts of America; one of the original volunteers with Safe Haven Family Shelter and was the Meal Director for Loaves & Fishes. After retiring, he began working with Whole Foods Market.
The Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, January 30, 2016, 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with Father Phillip Halladay officiating. Interment will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery. Serving as active pallbearers will be Aaron Shubert, Brian Stephens, Mark Reiter, Bill Gregory, Will Gentry, and Roderick McDaniel. A Rosary Service will be Thursday, January 28, 2016, 7:00 p.m. at Spring Hill Funeral Home. Visitation will be Friday, January 29, 2016, 2:00-8:00 p.m. at Spring Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5110 Gallatin Road, Nashville, TN 37216, 615-865-1101, www.springhillfh.com.
