Daddy, I miss you every day. Life is not the same without you. I pray you are at peace in Heaven and hope to see you again.
Daddy, I miss you so very much. My heart is still hurting, I still feel sad everyday. It's been one year ago tomorrow. We went on with life but there's a missing person, you. I hear the birds sing and always know you are close too. I just miss you so much❤️
Now I know how "the last of the Mohegans" felt. We were truly "a band of brothers." When our two older brothers, Millard and Pete, left home for World Wasr II, Gene inherited Millard's job as "Dad's Deputy" on the farm. He worked hard, took pride in his work and taught Grady and me the essentials of farming. We considered Gene to be the "fair haired boy" and now I realize that he earned that position.
What does one say on learning that a loved one has been called Home? For people of Faith, we can say, "We will see you soon when we see the Lord face- to- face."
For Believers, God superimposes joy on top of whatever else is going on in our lives.
Thank you God for the gift of Gene's presence for these 85 years. We believe that his soul is sealed in Your safety until all spiritual opposition is vanquished.
"Peace be with you, now and always."
