Bill was the kind of man that if he said he'd be there, he was. He didn't wait to ask what needed done - he just did it. He was loyal beyond measure to his friends and adored you, Cathy. When I think about you guys, it's like one word: BillandCathy.
I met Bill and Cathy through kayaking. I remember how Bill jumped on the SUP's craze long before it caught on and mastered it. We went on a moonlight paddle in Hendersonville and had to paddle under a bridge. It was a tight squeeze because the water was high. We all turned around to see how he'd manage. There he was crouched on that paddleboard and exited from under the bridge triumphant that he kept his balance.
I have many more memories of you two that I will always cherish. May God hold you, Cathy, in His holy hands and comfort you through this difficult time of losing your soul mate. He was a very special man.
