Mr. William Lafayette Dunn, Jr.'s Obituary
William Lafayette Dunn, Jr., age 85, of Nashville, passed away on July 3, 2014. He was born on September 2, 1928 to the late William L Dunn, Sr. and Grace Phillips Dunn. Mr. Dunn served with the United States Navy during the Korean War. He also worked for Nashville Electric Service for over 30 years, and was an avid fan of the Vanderbilt Commodores.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Dunn was preceded in death by his son, David Dunn, and his son-in-law, Chuck Thompson. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Opal Dunn; daughter, Sally Dunn Thompson; and many extended family members.
Mr. Dunn’s family will receive friends and visitors on Monday, July 7, 2014, from 4pm to 8pm at Spring Hill Funeral Home. A graveside service will take place in the Masonic Garden of Historic Spring Hill Cemetery on Tuesday, July 8, 2014, at 1pm.
