William Howard Emery's Obituary
Mr. William Howard Emery, a beloved resident of Hendersonville, Tennessee, passed away on April 10th, 2024, surrounded by his family. He was born on November 9th, 1928, in Nashville to Calvin Lawrence Emery, Sr. and Alma Baker Emery.
William was a devoted father who cherished his five children more than anything in the world. His love for them knew no bounds, and he took immense pride in their accomplishments. Beyond his role as a father, William had a zest for life. He found solace in the great outdoors, spending countless hours fishing by serene lakes, and teeing off on golf courses. His love for golf was more than a hobby—it was a way to connect with friends, enjoy the fresh air, and appreciate the beauty of nature.
Professionally, William was a savvy business owner. His shrewd acumen led him to invest in numerous commercial business buildings, leaving a lasting impact on the local community. His entrepreneurial spirit and dedication to hard work were evident to all who knew him.
As a die-hard Tennessee Titans fan, William rarely missed a game. He held season tickets for years, and the stadium echoed with his cheers and camaraderie. The Titans weren’t just a team to him; they were a source of excitement, pride, and shared memories with fellow fans.
William Howard Emery leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and resilience. His warm smile, unwavering support, and zest for life will be deeply missed by family, friends, and the community he touched. May he rest in peace, forever etched in our hearts.
In addition to his parents Calvin Sr. and Alma, William is preceded in death by, his wife, Maxine, his brother Calvin Lawrence Emery, Jr., and grandson Allen Emery. He is survived by his children Larry Emery (Jane), Dianne Clines (John), Randall Emery (Renee), Victor Emery (Debbie), and Amber Emery; grandchildren Adam, Christopher, Wil, Rachel, Lance, Lani, Emmie, John David, and Stephanie; several great-grandchildren; and a host of extended family and dear friends.
The family wishes to extend a sincere and heartfelt thanks to William’s caregivers Kim, Dequan, Flo, and Jannette, along with the compassionate staff at Clarendale Memory Care in Hendersonville.
There will be a visitation on Tuesday, April 16th, 2024, from twelve thirty in the afternoon until two thirty in the afternoon, with a graveside service to follow at two forty-five in the afternoon at Spring Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5110 Gallatin Road, Nashville, TN 37216. All are welcome.
