William Harrison Clark, Sr.'s Obituary
CLARK, William Harrison, Sr.; Age 84 of Madison, TN passed away July 13, 2009. He was preceded in death by mother, Oneda Mays; father, Meachum Clark; step-father Jim Mays; sister, Jane Suiter; son, William Harrison Clark Jr. Mr. Clark is survived by his wife, Jean Curtis Clark; daughter, Diane Clark (Dale) Shuping, of Lexington, KY; step-children, Carmen (Fred) Bogle, Tommy (Barbara) Curtis, and Frances Curtis Smith; grandchildren, Clark Brooks, Lexington, KY, Tara Goodall, Shawn Curtis, Travis Curtis, Jerry Smith Jr., and Michelle Tasber; 8 great-grandchildren. Born in Nashville, raised in Cornersville and graduated from West End High School. A Veteran of WWII, serving in Pacific Theatre. He retired from Bell South after 30 years, worked for Baptist Sunday School Board retiring 11 years. He was an avid model train devotee, a member of the Model Train Society and Lionel Club of America. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church Springfield. Graveside service will be held at 1 PM Wednesday July 15, 2009 at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens with Rev Steve Freeman officiating. Grandsons and great-grandsons will serve as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Steven Tai, Fred Bogle, Michael Tasber, Tim Hicks, Bobby Nees, and Scott Sullivan. Special thanks to the staff of Alive Hospice, especially Erica Gamble and Jason Knight, as well as Dr. Tai and staff.
