William H. of Nashville, TN passed away on Saturday, May 8, 2010 at St. Thomas Hospital; he was 84. Our Country is in mourning, for a Soldier died today; Born on April 14, 1926 in New York, NY. Preceded in death by his parents Olaf and Sarah McMullen Klingenberg ; stepmother,Ingrid Klingenberg, Farsand, Norway; brothers, Robert "Bob" Klingenberg, Virginia beach, VA and Jack Klingenberg of New York, NY. Survived by his wife, Novarese "Rese" Ballentine Klingenberg; son, Keith (Debi) Klingenberg, Graham, WA; daughter, Karen Terry, East Wenatchee, WA; stepson, Ross (Dorothy) Caldwell, Bonaqua, TN; brothers, Raymond Klingenberg, Grand Island, NE; Paul Klingenberg, Vance, Norway. Three grandchildren; Wayne Kligenberg, Graham, WA; Parker (Jillian) Klingenberg, Tacoma, WA and Jamie Terry, Wenatchee, WA; niece, Sarah Klingenberg and nephews, Douglas Klingenberg, Grand Island, NE and Eric Klingenberg, Baden, Germany. Mr. Klingenberg was a retired Security Director of Nashville Metro Schools and formerly; University of Tennessee, Pinkerton Detective Agency, Portland, Oregon and Wenatchee, WA Police Force. He was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church; Knights of Columbus, Bishop Adrian Council #9132; American Legion; V.F.W. Post 9851 Hendersonville; World War II Veteran, U.S. Navy, Pacific Theater. The family will receive friends at Spring Hill Funeral Home, 5110 Gallatin Rd., on Tuesday, May 11, 2010 from 2 to 8PM with Rosary at 7PM. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 12, 2010 at 11AM, Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, 1729 Stop Thirty Road, Hendersonville, TN with Rev. William S. Bevington, Celebrant, assisted by Rev. Eric Folks. Burial will follow in Historic Spring Hill Cemetery where military honors will be rendered by VFW Post 9851. Honorary Pallbearers: Knights of Columbus and the U.S.S. Torrance Shipmates; Dr. Bill Wise, Dr. Lester Gentry, John Burns, Don Wetherford, Joe Anderson and Jacques Tachior. Active Pallbearers: John Allardice, Sr., Ed Bruchas, Tom Cullen, Roland Desorcy, Ernie Hackney, Kenny Janson, T.C. Keeling, Dwayne Olin, and Mike Walker. The family appreciates: the staff of St. Thomas Emergency Department, and Alive Hospice of St. Thomas; Dr. John Chu'ng, Dr. Michael Kaminski and Dr. B. Olafsson. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the, Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, Hendersonville Building Fund; St. Matthew Catholic Church, Franklin; or a charity of your choice.
