Mr. William "Bill" Ivie's Obituary
William T. “Bill” Ivie passed away on April 26, 2017 in Williamson County. He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Perry Ivie Sr., Eunice Celeste Eidson Ivie; brother, Joseph Perry Ivie Jr.; and sisters, Jacqueline Celeste Ivie, Faye Bumpus.
He is survived by his nieces and nephews, Joseph Perry “Chip” Ivie III, William Hoge (Shannon) Ivie, Joy Ivie (Ben) Faulk, Kathryn Faye Bumpus; great-nieces and nephews, London Elle Ivie, William Dane Ivie, Ivie Celeste Faulk, Perry Ellen Faulk, Selah Rose Faulk.
Bill was a loving and kind man who always enjoyed time spent with his family. He loved any and all hobbies that required him to be outdoors. He had an ear for music and taught himself to play the piano. He was a member of the Isaac Litton High School marching 100 and honorably discharged from the Army National Guard. Bill was strong in his faith and dedicated to his church, Eastwood Christian Church. He was lifelong member and earned the title as Elder Emertius. His family will always remember him as “the fun uncle,” who enjoyed playing Santa at Christmas gatherings. Bill was a man of great character and will truly be missed by all who knew him.
Visitation with the family will be held on April 27, 2017 from 5-8pm at Spring Hill Funeral Home in Nashville, TN. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held on April 28, 2017 at 2pm at Eastwood Christian Church with a two hour visitation prior.
