Mr. William Ronald Long's Obituary
Mr. William Ronald Long, age 62 of Lavergne, Tennessee passed away on Monday, October 20, 2019. He was born on May 13, 1957 in Nashville, Tennessee to the late William and Emma Long. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Tammy Long. He is survived by his son, Zach Long (Megan Vestal), his grandsons Braxton and Brayden, his brothers Donnie, Kenny, and Gary Long, and his sisters Bobbie Hardin, Wanda Cavanah, and Brenda Joslin.
Ron was a quiet and simple man, but he certainly lived his life out loud. He had a dry, goofy sense of humor. He was social and never met a stranger. He loved his son and his grandsons more than anything in this world. His favorite hobbies included spending time playing with his grandsons, watching his son Zach play hockey, photography, and watching Titans football. He was also an avid reader and was especially fond of Stephen King novels. Ron made such an impact on those around him and leaves behind a legacy that will live on for years to come.
A visitation for Ron will be held at Spring Hill Funeral Home on Monday, October 28 from 3-7pm, and again on Tuesday, October 29 from 1-2pm, with a Celebration of Life Funeral Service in the Spring Hill Funeral Home Chapel beginning at 2. Burial in Historic Spring Hill Cemetery will follow. Spring Hill Funeral Home has been entrusted with the final care of Mr. Long. 5110 Gallatin Road, Nashville, Tennessee 37216.
