William Owens' Obituary
William Julius Owens, 79, of Nashville, Tennessee, sadly passed away on July 25, 2024. He was born in Nashville, Tennessee, on February 26, 1945, to the late Julius Owens and Bertha Cannard Owens.
In addition to his parents, William was preceded in death by his brothers, Bill Fitzgerald, Eugene Fitzgerald, and Nelson Polk.
William is survived by his son, David (Kim Ray) Owens; daughter, Wendy Williams; life-partner, Jeannie Owens; grandchildren, Jonathan Williams, Jessica (Brian) Oglesby, and David Wauford Owens; great-grandchild, Bristol Oglesby; brother, Jim (Faye) Owens; and a niece, Terrie Edwards.
William had a love for working. He worked with Whitley Heating and Cooling for 47 years. He had an interest in all things with wheels. He would go to car shows and even had his own racing go-karts. Above all, his grandchildren meant the world to him. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Visitation will be Wednesday, July 31, 2024, from 4 o'clock in the evening until 8 o'clock in the evening. Visitation will also be Thursday, August 1, 2024 from 10 o'clock in the morning until time of service. The service will begin at 12 o'clock in the afternoon. Burial will follow immediately after the service at Historic Spring Hill Cemetery.
