Mr. William Vernon Pruitt's Obituary
William Vernon (Bill) Pruitt, age 69 of Nashville passed away on Thursday, December 19, 2013. He was a long time Drug Counselor, A.A. member at Serenity House. He was a member of the Trevecca Nazarene Church. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Vicki Pruitt; children, William L. Pruitt, Charles R. (Trish) Williams, Sharon (Pete) Brady, Karen (Randy) Williams, Sandra Carol (Kevin) Shell, Sara (Mark) Dillon; grandchildren, Tyler, Hailey Ann, Justin, Blake, Tyler, Alyssa, Colby, Abby, Kenzie and Miles. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be at the Trevecca Community Church. Times and dates will be announced at a later date. Honorary pallbearers will include Charles McGowan, James Reedy, Marlene Reedy, Ed Brown, Dr. Andy Killingsworth, Amanda Baskin, Nan Casey, Peter Vonhopffgarten and Barbara Nightingale, Members of Serenity House, Members of Neely House, Betty Tidwell, Karlyn Spencer, Dr. Kittie Myatt, Dr. Richard Hock and David Lockhart. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Alive Hospice. Legends say that Hummingbirds float free of time, carrying our hopes for love , joy and celebration. The Hummingbirds delicate grace reminds us that life is rich, beauty is everywhere, every personal connection has meaning and that laughter is life’s sweetest creation
