I think Uncle Billy was a pretty successful man. He made his parents proud. He demanded respect and it wasn't in vain, because he deserved it. He honored God, and family, and not just his but every member of his siblings' families as well. He was a great measuring stick for all us boys to strive to reflect on. He was trustworthy, the tallest one of all of us, and we knew we could go to him for anything. I can only imagine how much these sentiments are magnified to his own boys and grandchildren. Like so many have said before, when Granddaddy passed away in 79' he filled in his shoes. I can only hope my feet will be as sturdy as his were for my own family. Thank you for the good example, and the years of encouragement. I love you and I'll see you soon! Say hi to everyone up there for all of us!
Love,
Bryan
