Mr. William Howard "Blackie" Stanley's Obituary
William H. Stanley, “Blackie” 70 of Madison, Tennessee passed away on October 28, 2017 at Skyline Medical Center. Blackie was born to Harry and Annie Stanley on May 15, 1947 in Mayfield, Kentucky. He was one of ten children; 7 brothers Adam, Paul, Bob, Harry, Purn, Henry Gillie, and Lester B., 2 sisters Ardel and Tillie Mamie.
Blackie is survived by his wife Carolyn Stanley and children Jimmie Lou (Billie Jo), Shane (Danielle), Molly, Howard (Megan), and Scarlett (Sonny). In addition, he is survived by 10 grandchildren; Scarlett, JoJo, Tara, Chloe, Mya, Nicholas, Bella, Ava, Roman, and Sonny. Blackie was loved by many nephews and nieces.
Losing our father is one of the most difficult things we have gone through. There are no words to express his influence in our life. He was hardworking, strong, loving, and gentle. He loved our mother and his family. He truly believed that if you live with God and work hard, you could have a good life.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 3, 2015 from 9am-10pm; Saturday, November 4, 2015, beginning at 9am through service time on Sunday, November 5, 2017. A Masonic service is scheduled for Saturday, November 4, 2015 at 6pm. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, November 5, 2017 at 12pm in the Chapel at Spring Hill Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Historic Spring Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Shane, Nicholas, Howard, JoJo, Billy Jo, Will, Sonny, Adam, Harold Bob, and Louie.
