William Herbert Wiles' Obituary
We gather to celebrate the beautiful life of Bill Wiles, a generous man with a kind heart. His story is one of energy, friendship, and steady loyalty.
Born on August 5th, 1941, in Nashville, TN, Bill spent his early years surrounded by the rhythm of the city he would always call home. That hometown pride stayed with him for life.
He began his working life at Mid-Tenn Supply Company. Through hard work and clear vision he later became the owner of the company, guiding it for many years and providing jobs and support to the community.
Away from the office, Bill came alive outdoors. Weekends at “The Hut” on the lake brought hours of pontoon rides, water-skiing in his younger days, and easy laughter with buddies and family. He loved old bluegrass tunes as much as a thrilling Titans game or a solid Braves win.
Friends describe Bill as resilient, supportive, kind, and loyal. Those traits, matched with his generous nature, made everyone feel welcome and valued.
Bill passed away at home in Nashville, TN, on January 10th, 2026. We honor him by remembering sunny afternoons on the lake, the hum of bluegrass, and the example of genuine care he set for all of us.
Those who have passed on before are his parents, Charles and Vera Wiles, brother, Thomas Wiles, and his loving wife of 52 years, Rita Wiles.
Those left behind to cherish is memory are his daughter Kirra (Robert) Menees and a multitude of boat buddies and friends.
