Wilma "Jean" Talley's Obituary
Wilma "Jean" Talley, 85, of Madison, Tennessee, passed away on Saturday, November 13, 2021. She was born on June 9, 1936 in Hickman County to the late Joycie Elizabeth and William Lloyd Yates.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a son-in-law, Jim Byler and her brothers Raymond Yates (Marie) and Melvin Yates (Marie).
Jean is survived by her children, Sylvia Jean Talley, Pamela Denise Hancock (Tim), and Teresa Kay Byler, two granddaughters, Jennifer Hancock and April Mingle (Tyler), two great-grandchildren, Isaac Mingle and Layla Mingle, two brothers, Earl Yates (Odell) and Kenneth Yates (Faye), a niece and eight nephews.
Her favorite hobbies were shopping, scrapbooking, flower gardening and especially spending time with her grandchildren whom she loved. She retired from the Standard Candy Company.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, November 19 from 11:00 am until the time of the funeral service at 12:00 pm at Spring Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5110 Gallatin Road in Nashville. The burial will immediately follow at the Historic Spring Hill Cemetery.
