Mr. Windon Taylor's Obituary
Windon Holland Taylor, age 89, passed away on Thursday, June 9, 2017 in Hendersonville, Tennessee. Windon was born on November 19, 1927 in Jackson County, Tennessee to the late William Lloyd Taylor and Ethel Olene Holland.
Mr. Taylor served his country as a member of the United States Marine Corp during the Korean War. He thoroughly enjoyed traveling, Florida winters & his time on the golf course. His ability to make anyone smile was evidenced by the always present “mischievous twinkle” in his eyes. He cherished his family and considered the life he lived a true blessing.
In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his loving wife of sixty years, Sarah Louise (Alley) Taylor; brothers, CB and OZ Taylor.
Windon is survived by daughter, Julia Proctor and husband, Michael; brothers, Guy A. Taylor and George A. Taylor (Dimple); three grandchildren, Brandi Marshall (Brandon), Taylor L. Proctor, Travis M. Proctor (L. Malia) and 7 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a host of relatives and friends, in addition to those who so lovingly & compassionately cared for him in the last years of life.
A graveside celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at 9:00 AM at the Historic Spring Hill Cemetery. Interment will follow in the Historic Spring Hill Cemetery.
