Mrs. Yvonne Johnson's Obituary
Yvonne (Nicholson) Johnson, age 85, passed away on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 in Madison, Tennessee. Yvonne was born on August 29, 1932 in Nashville, Tennessee to James Britton and Hallie (Kimbrough) Nicholson.
Yvonne had a large heart for children, this clearly was shown by her 70-year devotion as a Sunday School teacher. She was a member of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees, was a faithful East High School Alumni and enjoyed supporting the Lakewood Theater. She was a charter member of Faith Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband of fifty-five years, Roy L. Johnson.
Yvonne is survived by her children, Lynn Johnson Keith (Earl), Lee Johnson (Roxanne) and Larry Johnson (Julie); sister, Betty Rushing; brother, Pat Nicholson; eleven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren. She is also survived by a host of relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 20, 2018 from 2-6 PM at Spring Hill Funeral Home with an additional visitation held on Monday, May 21, 2018 from 9am until the time of service beginning at 11 am at Spring Hill Funeral Home. Entombment will follow in the Historic Spring Hill Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be; Patrick Johnson, Britton Johnson, Teran Johnson, Blake Johnson, Dustin Curfman and Sean Nicholson.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Gideon's International in Yvonne's honor.
