The autumn months were the times I shared with Ann in our later years. In California, when our kids were school age, we often had Thanksgiving dinner together. We continued that tradition even though we moved apart, me to Pennsylvania first, then North Carolina and Ann to Tennessee. I'll cherish the memory of Thanksgiving in Nashville with Ann and Stanley carving the turkey in the tiny kitchen, Dot regaling the others with funny stories. Tiffany was seated in a high chair. The napkins were ironed, the fruit was "sugared" and there was fudge pie for dessert. The best Thanksgiving ever!! My love to each of you, Mark, Robin and Susie. You are my kids too.
