Anne began her career at National Life Insurance after which she became an assistant to Mr. Bud Wendell (President and General Manager) at the Grand Ole Opry where she was known as “Opry Annie.” After working for him for many years, she began work producing television shows for The Nashville Network (TNN).
Anne’s family and many friends will always remember her for being the life of the party, for her witty sense of humor, and for her fabulous taste. Her work (along with her husband’s work with the show Hee Haw) allowed her to interact with many legends of country music, ensuring that hers was a uniquely Nashville life. Her final days were spent with classic country music playing in her room. A celebration of life will take place on Saturday, June 22, 2019 at 10:00AM at Spring Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5110 Gallatin Pike, South, Nashville, TN 37216, with visitation beginning at 9:00am.
