Barbara Grindstaff Whitehurst's Obituary
Ms. Barbara Grindstaff Whitehurst, age 77 of Nashville, TN, died peacefully on November 2, 2022 surrounded by family. Barbara was born on September 11, 1945 in Forest City, North Carolina, daughter of the late Ervin and Ruth Price Grindstaff.
Barbara was a retired Interior Designer and graduate of O’More College of Architecture and Design. Barbara had a lifelong love of music and was a country music performer in her early years using the stage name Bobbi Staff. Although music was a passion, her first love would always be her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by daughter, Lisa Hall (Bryan) of Phoenix, Arizona and son, Gary Whitehurst (Ashley) of Atlanta, Georgia; one brother, Boyce Grindstaff (Dorothy) of Forest City, North Carolina; and five grandchildren, Mason, Chase and Pryce Hall, and Thomas and James Whitehurst.
The family will conduct a private service to celebrate her life. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in memory of Barbara Whitehurst to the Dementia Society of America, by mail to PO Box 600 Doylestown, PA 18901 or online www.dementiasociety.org/donate.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Spring Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery, "Where Nashville Comes to Remember."
