Mrs. Betty Letishia Reece Ragan's Obituary
Betty Letishia Reece Ragan, age 71 of Madison, peacefully passed away at home on July 1, 2013. Mrs. Ragan was born on August 18, 1941 in Nashville, TN.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Bee Reece. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, James Ragan; sons, Ronnie and David Ragan; sister, Billie (Charles) Foster; brother, Bo Reece; nieces, Emily (Shelby) Hunton, Debbie (Jason) Tolbert and Charlotte (Trace) Hall; four great-nephews and three great-nieces; her many “adopted” children and her beloved cats.
A member of Parkway Baptist Church, she loved the Lord, to write, to read books and was a friend to both people and animals alike. And though she suffered from many debilitating ailments, she always kept a positive attitude, looked ahead and tried to greet life with a smile.
A celebration of Mrs. Ragan’s life will be conducted 9:00 A.M., Saturday, July 6th from the Chapel of Spring Hill Funeral Home with Pastor Ken Castleberry officiating. Interment will follow in Historic Spring Hill Cemetery with family serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 2 P.M. until 4 P.M. and from 6 P.M. until 8 P.M., Friday at Spring Hill Funeral Home.
