I have very fond memories of Billy. As a child, he and Dale often picked me up to take to eat. My favorite was chocolate pie or hot fudge cake which I would often eat standing using the sun deck as a table in the back seat of their red Chevrolet convertible. I was always so excited. I would sit in the bleachers with Dale and watch Billy referee basketball. The picture is of the red Chevy and his referee shirt is hanging in back seat. I would often ride with Dale to pick Billy up from work in Donelson which required us to take the ferry across the river. Billy and Dale lived up the street from us while I was in elementary school. I constantly visited them when I was able. One of my favorite stories: I did not want to go to school and missed the bus on purpose. My Mom did not drive so it was a shoe-in that I would be staying home. As soon as I got in the door from the bus stop, Mom called Dale and in minutes, Billy was there to take me to school! My plan was foiled! I was very popular in my first grade class because Billy always gave me the cutest pencils with character heads where the erasers were that I would hand out to classmates. So many loving memories. All my love. Tracey
