Cathey, Rucker, Clay, Bobbie and my mom, Gayle Hymer. I loved Bonnie as a friend, co-worker and really she was family to me. I was thinking of Bonnie and all the things I loved about her. She was respectful, hard working, funny, caring, loving , spirited, and sometimes mischievous in a good way, not bad. I only knew her as an adult, but can imagine she was a handful for her Mom and Dad when she was a kid. Bonnie was someone who would always make me smile and told good stories. She was a good friend to many, she would laugh, cry, joke, fight and pray for her family and the friends she loved. You could depend on her to give you advice when you asked for it,,,and sometimes even when you did not ask for it! ha!ha!
She made sure everyone was taken care of when she worked as an Executive Secretary for the Tennessee Department of Revenue with me. I really do not know how she kept up with all her duties, but she did her job with pride and determination. She attended Jackson Park Church of Christ and loved her church family. Even after having some health problems where she could no longer drive, she got up every Sunday morning and made sure my Mom would come get her for church. It was truly an honor and a privilege to have Bonnie in my life. Like the song says..Some bright morning when this life is over,,"I'll Fly Away" to that home on Gods celestial shore, I'll Fly Away." This is not good-bye, it is "See Ya Girl" as Bonnie would tell me so many times....so See Ya Girl, until we meet again.
