The first time I met Eddie was in 1964. We were in fourth grade. Eddie sat behind me. He loved to pick at me. One day, I had enough of his aggravation, so I turned around and said to Eddie Stop!! I did not realize how loud I was. Our teacher, Mrs. Ethel Anderson said Vickie and Eddie. I knew then we both were in big trouble. I do not remember our punishment but I am sure it was bad. I will always cherish this memory. As the years went by, we had other classes together. In 1973, we graduated from Hendersonville High School. I did not see Eddie again until our reunions. Eddie had not changed. He still was a guy full of life and fun. R. I. P. My dear friend. You will be missed 😇😇😇
Eddie, we will miss you greatly. You were always breath of fresh air with your positive attitude and caring spirit. You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers.

I have known Eddie Claud for over 40 years. Eddie was my Boss for almost 20 years at Opryland Hotel. I was working the night shift and would meet with him practically every morning before leaving. Back in the early 80's I would host a Christmas party at my home with a desert buffet for my office staff and Eddie would always come by and enjoy the festivities and the deserts: Eddie later confessed that the Keebler Danish Wedding Cookies were his favorite. I think every year after that he would get a box for Christmas from a secret Santa. Eddie made it possible for me to leave Tennessee and move to Florida when the Gaylord Palms opened. Having to say Goodbye to Nashville, Opryland and Eddie back on November 30, 2001, was one of the hardest things I ever had to do. When you work at a good place with good people, they become part of your extended family. Like so many others I could continue telling my Eddie stories for several hours, but the time has come to say goodbye again to my friend for the final time. My sincere condolences to the family and thank you for sharing him with us: Rest in Peace Eddie.
