We moved here in 1984. The corner lot next to us was all trees and woods. Later, some were saved. A very pretty home was built. It was Charlie and Billie. Much later we connected. The two of them come to be the most understanding and tolerant of me the best neighbor in our neighborhood. So much respect for them. Our connected back yards have been a zoo. Chatty back and forth on phone or texting about the coyotes, deer, rare birds that show up, skunks, and stray animals. Charlie cooked a lot and grilled for get together of church members and family times. Sweet Billie made the best best banana bread that would knock your socks off, wanting to eat the whole loaf. I would need some answers about things not to ask everyone. If Charlie could, he would answer or if he wasn't sure, Billie could. Between the two of them tolerating me alone, they were positive with all responses. Never negative. he was a people person with all. When I was wrong and angry, he'd set me straight. That was Charlie. You like it or not, he didn't hold back. He has truly been like a younger brother I had never had. He loved his wife. I'd get so tickled when he would use her nickname in our conversations with a glow. Our dog Oscar loved him to.
Family, church, & friends, we have all lost a wonderful man. No doubt God has many crowns for him up there. Enjoy your new body Charlie, your healed now and we'll all see you soon.
