Clifford and I met as freshmen at McMurry University in Abilene, Tx. In fact, we wasted our entire freshman year playing ping pong in the rec center and running around. I had a '67 GTO that he absolutely loved. After my freshman year, I joined the Navy and found out shortly after that Clifford had also joined the Navy. I was West Coast, he was East Coast. Clifford loved photography and had figured out that pretty girls liked to have their pictures taken, so he would invite them to some scenic setting and photograph them. I wish I had thought of that as a way to meet girls. Clifford was always good to look me up and have a meal with me when he would visit his mom or sisters. I always enjoyed our visit.
The Bible tells us that we store up for our selves treasures in heaven. The older I get, the more my treasures are there and not on this earth. Clifford is just one more treasure that is there. He will be missed.
