I was sorry to learn of Clint's passing. Clint and I were childhood friends growing up in Old Hickory in the 50's. We spent endless hours playing in the woods across from his home and exploring along the river all the way to the old Powder Plant near Old Hickory Dam. Life can lead us in different directions as was the case with me. I left and we lost contact but I'm sure if we had lived close we would have continued to be good friends. My sympathy to Janet and the family. I hope you find peace and comfort.

Clint Watts was an important figure in my teen years. I lost my father when I was in my sixth grade year at Goodpasture and entered into my difficult teen years without a father figure or someone to take me places in the outdoors. I was blessed, fated to meet his eldest son Todd and we became friends. Over time Todd and I would be together in and out of school sharing interests like fishing and role playing games. The Watts family opened their home to me and I took my first ever camping trip, it rained, to Piney Campground on KY Lake. We eventually took a Spring Break trip to Lake Seminole, GA to Jack Wingate's Lunker Lodge which Mr. Watts had found by chance on a trip to FL. It became a place we would go every Spring Break and as Todd and I got older we would go on our own. All of this would not have been possible without Clint Watts. I am forever grateful to him and his family for allowing me to go with them and have some good, clean outdoor fun. Bill Stidham
