My mom loved to be with her kids. She loved just watching kids play and laugh.
She loved a lot of different games and was good at them. We played badminton and ping pong. She loved taking walks at the nearby duck pond and would spread cracked corn for them. She always had cardinals following her around, she thought they were her spirit animal. We would talk for hours on the phone every few days. She called me her little chigger since I would ask so many questions and dig deep in every subject.
We had 3 1/2 acres that she mowed and took care of for 50 years.
We went to Virginia Beach every year with Laura, Jacob, and sometimes Laura's husband Ben - we had a blast!
She loved eating her vegetables at the Cracker Barrel or Bob Evans restaurants.
She used to sing or whistle around the house.
We went shopping a lot just to look around.
She loved anything pink or in the shape of a heart.
We used to have 2 different houseboats and loved to pull into a cove for the weekend. We had lots of laughs with our friends there.
All of the hospitals said she was a cutie pie and a pleasure to be around.
