Daniel Gerard Bernier
January 22, 1950 – February 7, 2024

Daniel Gerard Bernier passed away at his home in Hendersonville, Tennessee on Wednesday, February 7, 2024. Daniel was predeceased by his wife, Cheryl (Moore) Bernier, as well as his parents, Felicien E. and Gertrude G. Bernier. Daniel is survived by his 3 children, Michael Bernier, of Taunton, MA, Jennifer Rampino, and spouse Mark, of Taunton, MA and Jason Bernier, and spouse Jennifer, of Somerset, MA, along with 2 grandchildren, Julia and Aidan. Daniel leaves behind several brothers and sisters, Richard Bernier, & wife Joanna, of Taunton, MA, Phillippe Bernier, of California, Lucie Alves & husband, Gerald, of Dighton, MA , Paul Bernier & wife Angie, of Hendersonville, TN, Anita Van Bern of Taunton, MA , Marie Pavao of Dighton, MA, Edouard Bernier of Plymouth, MA. And many nieces & nephews. Daniel is also predeceased by brother David Bernier of Taunton, MA.
Danny was born on January 22, 1950 in Taunton, MA, where he attended Elementary School, at St. Jacques School, and Taunton Vocational High School.
Daniel served in the US Army for 8 years. He re-enlisted in the US Navy, as a submariner. Daniel served with rank of E-6, on board the USS Will Rogers and DACE II as fire control technician, and several other positions. Daniel was awarded 12 times for Outstanding Service. He moved from the Taunton area to the Nashville area of TN, where he worked as an alarm technician for ADT company.
Danny loved his children and grandchildren more than life. He was an active member of the Knights of Columbus at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Madison, TN. He enjoyed fishing, collecting trains, and going out to lunch and dinner with many friends and family. He loved to tell a joke or two here and there putting a smile on your face.
Even though he is physically no longer with us, his spirit remains and will be missed and forever remembered.
The family cordially invites guests and relatives to join them for a time of visitation on Tuesday, February 13th, 2024, from twelve o'clock until one o'clock in the afternoon with a funeral mass to follow at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Hendersonville. The committal ceremony will take place at Historic Spring Hill Cemetery at two forty five in the afternoon. Those who wish to attend the burial will meet our staff at the graveside location on site, which our staff will be glad to provide a map for.
Final arrangements for Mr. Bernier are entrusted to Spring Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery, "Where Nashville Comes to Remember."
