Mr. Donald Eugene Wills' Obituary
Donald E. Wills, age 70, of Hendersonville, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 3, 2017 surrounded by his family. Donald is survived by his wife Vicki Wills; three sons, Matthew Wills (Erin), Jacob Wills, Benjamin Wills; one brother, Phil Wills Jr. (Brenda). Donald is preceded in death by his former wife, Patricia Wills; one sister, Bettye Elaine.
Donald was a 1964 graduate of Maplewood High School where he played baseball in his school years. After high school, Donald joined the Navy where he served as an electronic communications specialist. After the Navy, Donald worked for AT&T for 45+ years in management. Donald was considered a strong leader and was well loved by his co-workers. Outside of work and church, Donald was actively involved with his family. His leadership ability continued on outside of his work life by being actively involved in Scouting and coaching sports teams with his son’s when they were growing up. Even at age 70 he was rock climbing in Arizona. Donald was a member of First Baptist Church Hendersonville and was in the Fred Bracey Sunday school class, previously he attended Grassland Heights where he served as a Deacon and was involved with the Children and Senior ministry’s. He also enjoyed driving the church bus for various functions. Above all, Donald will best be remembered for his love for his family and friends and his faith in Christ.
Visitation with the family will be held on Friday, July 7, 2017 from 4-8pm and again on Saturday, July 8, 2017 from 10-11am at which time a Celebration of Life Funeral Ceremony will be conducted from the Chapel of Spring Hill Funeral Home.
