Brad & Deanna, I just today learned of your mom’s Eternal Homegoing, and although I know a joyous Heavenly reunion party is happening, I also know an Earthly huge loss has occurred. I am sorry for your loss and sorry I missed her service. I have so so many sweet memories of Donetta throughout my life, such as her teaching my Wednesday night Acteens class at Hillhurst (& she often spoiled us by bringing us one of her homemade fudge pies -yummy ! ) as well as fun memories of us playing together on the Hillhurst softball team. She inspired me and many other nurses as she exemplified sharing God’s love through her diligent and compassionate care of her patients. God’s light truly shined bright through Donetta’s life. Your family will remain in my thoughts and prayers as God gently carries y’all through this season of grief. Love y’all.

Ms. Donnetta was a dear friend and neighbor. At one time I was her Trusted Driver to her Doctors appointments and to the Grocery Store. She and another neighbor and I would get together to Pray once a week. We also took Crocheting class together, that was taught by another neighbor in the community. Ms. Donnetta was a Kind person who will be missed.

I was privileged to be Donnetta’s pastor for many of her years at Parkway. She was an encouragement to all who knew her. She loved to study God’s Word and was committed to fervent prayer. She loved God with all her heart and expressed that love to others. I was blessed to have known her.
