Ms. Eva Felts Duke's Obituary
Passed away July 5, 2014. Born January 31, 1930 in Nashville, Tennessee the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Mack Dennis Felts. Preceded in death by her husband H. A. “Pete” Duke, grandson Benjamin Waller Husband, sisters June Rawlston, Ruth Crowder and brother Claude Felts. She is survived by sister Velma Kemp, son Dennis Duke (Wendy), daughter Marcia Duke Husband (the late Bill Husband), Bonnie Duke Hardin (Carey), grandchildren Elesha Batson (Stephen), Natalie Brantley (Brett), Ashley Duke, Adam Duke (Brenda), Will Husband, John Husband (Laura), Andrew Husband, Mary Hunter Husband, Claire Hardin Williamson (Eric), Sam Hardin (Katherine), Hailey Hardin, and 18 grandchildren.
Caring for young children whether it be her grandchildren, great grandchildren or neighbor’s children was her passion. She loved growing flowers, sewing for others, cooking and entertaining in her home and setting a beautiful table.
The family would like to thank her many neighbors that brought tremendous joy and love to her life in her later years.
Active pallbearers will be Will Husband, John Husband, Andrew Husband, Sam Hardin, Adam Duke, Brian Smith, and Paul Ashley.
Visitation will be at Spring Hill Funeral Home & Cemetery Wednesday, July 9 from noon until 2 pm with graveside service to follow at 2 pm in Historic Spring Hill Cemetery. Services conducted by Tim Gates.
