To the Hodges family:
Evelyn and I worked together on the church membership rolls for many years and we grew a great friendship. We'd share occasional lunches (Subway, Pizza Hut & CiCi's Pizza) and once or twice a year we would indulge in the "Olive Garden" restaurant. Yum!
Most of all we enjoyed each other's company...our life stories...and a few jokes along the way. I loved to make Evelyn laugh. She called me a "crazy nut" on more than one occasion.
She sure loved her family...especially those grandchildren and "great" ones! Sorry Sallie, Mark & Hal...didn't mean to leave you out. She and your Dad did a wonderful job of raising you all. She was a proud mama!
I will surely miss her but I have been practicing my manners and hope to meet up with her on the other side some day
I know these past years have been rough on you all and on her too, but I believe you
did real good by her and she loved you and appreciated everything.
With sincere sympathy and prayers for your family,
Artha & Buddy Helms
