I always thought of Mrs. Bradford as the stealth parent when we were growing up. I spent many nights with Deenie when we were growing up and Fay just glided around and let us be. There, but never intrusive. I'm sure we kept her up nights doing whatever things young teenaged girls do, but she never complained in front of me. I'm sure I could never imagine, all those years ago, being in this place with her now. She was a good mother who raised a wonderful caring daughter and son and there is no higher accolade than that. I promised her I would look after Deenie and keep getting her into trouble and I plan to do just that! So long Mrs. Bradford till we meet again.
