Mr. G. David Elder Jr.'s Obituary
G. David Elder, Jr. age 84, passed away January 29, 2016. Survived by his loving wife of almost 60 years, Patsy Elder; daughters Paula Howell (Steve), Sharon Wiesman (Bill), Mary Bea Harding; grandchildren David Howell (Heather), Meg Howell Palmer (Stephen), Alison Bearden, Andrew Bearden, Jillian Harding, Elise Harding Hughes (Daniel); great-grandchildren John Owen Howell and Andee Jayne Howell.
Mr. Elder was a loving and devoted family man. He was an independent pharmacist in the Madison and Goodlettsville areas for many years. He was a member of City Road Chapel United Methodist Church. He was an alumni and avid fan of Auburn University and active member of Fifty Forward.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Monday, February 1, 2016, 11:00 a.m. at City Road Chapel United Methodist Church with Rev. Jay Voorhees and Dr. Bill Wiesman officiating. Interment will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery. Active pallbearers will Steve Howell, David Howell, Ron Campbell, Charlie Campbell, Stephen Palmer, Bobby Young, Billy Young, Andrew Bearden. Honorary pallbearers will be the Living Word Sunday School Class, Ron Filson, Batey Gresham, Bob Sylar, Billy Young, Richard Odom, Doug Odom, Frank Cathey, Virgil Nipper, and Hugh Howell. Visitation with the family will be Sunday 2:00-7:00 p.m. and Monday 10:00-11:00 a.m. at City Road Chapel United Methodist Church. Donations may be made to "Make A Difference" in care of City Road Chapel United Methodist Church, 701 Gallatin Road, Madison, TN, 37115.
