Hello, my name is Savannah and I am one of George's many nieces. I was completely shocked to see that someone had something bad to say about my uncle. He was truly an amazing man and someone I will always have such respect for. Growing uo every time I saw him he always had a fresh jar of his homemade strawberry jam just for me at hand and still to this day I haven't tasted any better than his!! He ALWAYS did for others his whole life. He would do without if it meant that someone else wouldn't have to. George and my grandmother Shirley, who raised all four of my sisters and me, were very close growing up. They were also both very close to God. Christians are brought up on a very important rule that we all forgive each other in this lifetime. I know I will forgive and pray for those who have hate in their heart. I have also spent a lot of my time recently praying for George and it wasn't until I saw this posting that I realized that George doesn't need my prayers anymore because he is with God and our worries are no longer needed. I now ask that everyone post positive things of our brother, uncle, and honored man of service to our counrty or please do not post anything. Our family is grieving a very great loss and would appreciate kind words and prayers only. Thank you all so much for the support. We love and miss you Uncle George.
