Ginger and I became friends around 1972; when she began working at United Methodist Publishing House. Ginger and I quickly became more than “office friends” as Ginger came to my home for dinner one night when my husband, George worked late. She was a real friend through my two high risk pregnancy. Along with George and his Parents they saw my oldest daughter before I did as I had a C-Section and I was put to sleep before I saw Christina. George had been hospitalized @ the VA hospital, and Ginger came to stay with me; often driving us to work (in the snow!! Christmas 1980, George and I moved to ALABAMA, December, when Stephanie was a year old (due to his work - Machinist work for JOB Shops for NASA. Unfortunately? We didn’t get to see as much as we would have liked to after our Move to Al and Later to our Home town Of by Lenoir City TN.
After Moving to Lenoir City, we visited each other some; with my parents coming to know and LOVE, Ginger. It is with a sad Heart, to learn of one of the longest friendships being put on Hold until My Jesus Calls me Home. I am sure she be awaiting me there to welcome me home to our Saviors loving arms. One could not ask for a better forever friend than Ginger. I pray for Doug in his grief to be given comfort by our Savior; and having Jesus there to walk with him as the Poem FOOTPRINTS aim the Sands suggests 👣👣 Jesus is with us along Life’s Way; when we are @ our Lowest, one can Be Certain Jesus is there not only walking by our side; but in some instances actually Jesus will CARRY US when needed. Missing you My Precious Friend; I tried to get to see before you went away( however, I came down with Strap Throat; and knew I could Not being her that illness to her. God Bless you my Friend. I will always Treasure our friendship. I remember your calling me when the LOVE went to be with Jesus on March 25 just before Midnight. Loving you always Della
