Mrs. Ginger Wells Almy's Obituary
Ginger Wells Almy, 67, of Nashville, Tennessee, passed away Tuesday, March 16, 2021. Born March 24, 1953 in Nashville, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the Claiborne F. Wells and Gerry Kennell Wells.
Ginger was a loving wife who will be missed dearly. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and together they have visited 49 states and the District of Columbia, as well as Canada and Europe. She was friendly and outgoing and liked to quilt when she found the time. She was also great at working with computers and in 1996 she started the Senior Citizen Computer Learning Class at the Donelson Senior Citizen Center, now called Fifty Forward.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Tom Wells.
She is survived by her husband Dudley “Doug” Almy; brother Mike Wells; and kitties Andy, Mozart, Macy, and Tortie.
Visitation will be Friday, March 19, from 4 PM until 8 PM at Spring Hill Funeral Home in Nashville. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will take place Saturday at 11 AM at the funeral home with the family receiving friends and visitors one hour prior to services. A private burial will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family strongly urges people to make donations to the local animal rescue group of your choice instead.
