Evidently, I must have spoke with Sandy a day or so before his passing. He had called me and was searching for a "good wheel barrow without having to pay a fortune"; to knock out some yard or debris work on his property. Seems like he would accumulate the washed up debris and sticks into a burn pile and have a debris pile fire about once a year.
He indicated that he was back on reduced Chemo treatment and wasn't feeling his best but said he was okay. I had texted him a few times later and ultimately got alarmed enough to do a Google search and discovered he had succumbed to his lung disease. He had undergone multiple lung procedures over the past 5 years and it had brought him down... but not out, until the end.
