To the real TN outdoorsman... will never forget fishing below Cheatham Dam so many time's as we did you with Lealand Jackson and me with fat boy Simmions and a few other boat's that got wind of where we where going to be at but I could go on & on with places and people but we did more cold weather fishing for big sauger at Cheatham & the TN river and the ole Cumberland. I know you and Lealand are planning trips now Jimmy and am very sorry that I just found out 12-24-18 that you had passed on. I will say rest in peace my dear friend, you will be sorely missed and as I know Denny must be lost at this time may God be with the family and friends amen.

Jimmy amd his late wife were our neighbors. I always remember when my late husband Bill would tell them I was making sour dough bread, they woud be waiting in the morning at the end of driveway. May his soul rest in peace. Mary Hunt

RIP Mr. Jimmy Holt. I was fortunate and blessed to have known Jimmy Holt from walking at Rivergate Mall. He would always have me come to their table and hang out with everyone there. He would always tell a lot of funny things and laugh with all of his friends. I was so happy to meet him and get to know him as I did. He knew people from everywhere and always had people smiling and laughing. He fought had with the cancer and fought long. I will miss the laughs and fun we had but, I will treasure those times until we meet again in heaven. Thank you for allowing me to be a friend and I will keep your family in my Prayers. I will think of you and the great fun we had and I will treasure the good times we had together. May your memory be eternal and may you rest in peace with no more pain.

When Jimmy was serving our country in the Air Force, he lived with our family in Denver, Colorado for several months. Don't remember why we were so lucky to have him stay with us, but just know it was a happy time in our lives. My dad, Jack Walker, was Jimmy's Uncle and he was married to my mom, Coralyn M. Walker.

I also remember Jimmy taking me to the old Grand Old Opry House downtown and we got to go backstage during a performance. He could get in anywhere because he was so famous around Nashville. I remember meeting Minnie Pearl.

Jimmy was one of a kind. The mold was broken after he came into this world. He will be missed by so many, and enriched everyone's life who knew him.
