I was reading Julia's tribute below and thought of all the fun we had just hanging around each other. We moved away to Memphis when we were in jr. high, but we saw each other at Granny and Granddaddy's sometimes. I particularly remember one summer when I was sitting on the porch with Julia and Robert and Joni. Joni was saying that Robert was "mean" to their cat. He laughed big and said, "Aw, I'm just petting his head. He loves it." I bet that cat hated him. :) He had a great sense of humor and a big heart and re-connecting with him on FaceBook reminded me of all of that again. I'll miss you, Robert; but I am counting on see you again, so I'll only say, "So long for now." I love you.
My sympathy and prayers go to the families and friends. Pray incessantly to God for strength and endurance during this difficult time 1thessalonians 5:17
A new day dawns as sunlight meets icy frost and my thoughts turn to one recently lost...rather, like the frost, transformed and set free.
condolences to Robert s friends and family
Robert was the cousin that I got to play with the most when I was growing up. We lived fairly close to each other. The most memorable times I spent with Robert were when he and I and Uncle Bob and my daddy would go fishing. Robert and I would ride the sideboards of the volkswagon and hold onto the little side windows. We would always get bored and jump in the water and daddy and Uncle Bob would get mad at us for scareing the fish. Ginny and I loved going to see Robert or him coming to our house. I'll just always remember the fun times and laughing. We love you Robert and you have a significant spot in our growing up years. I will miss talking to you; even if the past few years have only been on facebook. I'm so glad you are reunited with your sweetheart and you no longer have to be dealing with the physical problems that you had on earth. You now have the best seat in the house to those UT and Titan games. You will be missed.
My heart just breaks for all of you. Sending prayers of comfort and strength to every member of your family!!!
