James William Monroe's Obituary
James William Monroe, 85, of Gallatin, Tennessee passed away suddenly after a short illness on June 24th, 2026. James was the son of Bill Monroe, the two were both members of the Bluegrass Boys before James formed his own band, The Midnight Ramblers.
Along with his father, he was preceded in death by his mother, Carolyn Monroe and sister, Melissa Monroe. He is survived by his son, James William Monroe II; two granddaughters, Skylar Monroe and Scarlett Monroe; his ex-wife, Brenda H. Monroe.
