.y heartfelt prayers to Mike's family and close friends ,no doubt you all are going to noise him . I met Mike working the Turkey shoot at American Legion where every Sunday he had the spot closest to my window selling tickets .I knew as soon as I'd see him it was gonna be some laughter and kinda challenge with him and Terry Hampton . He was such a respectful nice man .I'd always snap pictures one day he looked Up I said I'm sending it to Mae he just smilled .I pray God wraps his living arms around you all and Mike's memories carry you through this transition. I would babysit Mike When he was little while Mae worked. Him and Tina was the same age by about five months. I would have to leave her in the babybed and hold him. He cries so much he would hold his breath and it would take me a little bit to get him to breathing again. He scared me to death on a daily basis. He grew into the most caring person. He would do anything for anybody no matter how hard it was and wouldn't take any money. He always said family is supposed to help family. He is not the only person that said that. I would have to slip money in his car to pay for the gas he used to come to the house. Mike loved everybody and everybody loved him. He is going to be deeply missed. I love you James Michael Scott. Until we meet again.

My dad was a lot of things to a lot of people! He was someone that people knew if they called him no matter what it is he would help! He always told me what needed to be said to me if I liked it or not! He made sure I knew he knew a lot of people and he always knew what I was doing before I told him. I remember when I was about 11 years old he wouldn’t let me get out of the car until I listened to the song “Little Bitty” by Alan Jackson. Over the years I have been so focused on work I lost a lot of time with him! We didn’t talk or see each other like we should have. That is time I can never get back. The last three months we spent a lot of time together talked a lot more. I am very lucky for that! It doesn’t make up for the time I lost but he made it clear he was proud of me! I just hope I made it clear to him how proud I am to have his name! I have some big shoes to fill when it comes to being half the man he was! I will do everything I can to be the man he expects me to be! I love you dad!

in honor of James .

I only met Mike this last past year, we work together what now seems like a short few months. He was my breath of fresh air everyday. Always made me laugh, amazing talks and advice. We used to tease about how small in stature he was compared, with reference to how enormous his heart was for caring and giving. Some people touch your life for only a season and leave a lifetime imprint. This was Mike. You are truly missed. My sincere prayers of comfort to the family. Until we meet again. Heaven truly gained an ANGEL

i remember Mike driving me down the alley behind stockell St. in a car that he was working on that had no floorboards.
remind me of the fred flintstone car.
installing a v8 in a maverick or Vega.
using a log chain to tie down a motor because he had no motor mounts.
for years seeing him turning wenches on old cars.
fighting with the craigs.
boxing in the street at night under the street lights.
drinking mello yellows as long as i can remember.
taking bc powders.
