I worked in bars for many years and Spurlock would come and visit and chat for a while in which ever bar I was working in at the time. Through one of our many conversations, he found out that my Saint Christopher had been stolen. One day while I was working at Country Western, a couple of years later, he came strolling in one day with a small gift box in his hand and a smile on his face. I asked Spurlock what he was up to and he handed me the box and told me to open it. As instructed, I did as he asked. I was a little worried about opening the box because of the jokester that he was. When I opened the little box there was a sterling silver chain with a small Saint Christopher on it. I cried.....of course and Spurlock told me to quit being a girl and put it on. I took the necklace out of the box and he latched it around my neck. He told me that since my boyfriend Tony Hogwood nor himself could be with me 24/7, that maybe it would give me some protection. Even though James Spurlock tried to be rough and tough, he had the heart of a Saint. Spurlock loved me and I loved him. It breaks my heart that Teresa has lost her best friend. Spurlock, May you rest in peace and ride your bike and hang with your buds Turnaround and Bill (MOONDOG) Smithson and finally be pain free for eternity. I'll love and miss you TREMENDOUSLY!!!!!!!!!!!!
