We all had a chance to experience the love, the joy, of this great man. I thank him for being one of my brothers best friend also a great coach to my nephew. To the family we are deeply sading for your loss, now he is resting in the arms of God, whom loves him and has called him to a higher calling, to serve in his kingdom. Connie,Bethany and Bubba, KEVIN was the best! I was his bookkeeper at Capt D's and he was always one of my favorite AD's but he was also a friend. He sure loved you three and his two little buddies. I will miss his comments on UT and his remarks about Vanderbilt. I pray you will take comfort in your wonderful memories (the good ones and the funny ones). I was truly Blessed to know him and share the last 20 years knowing him. If there were any D's employees (at any level) who did not like Kevin, it was their fault not Kevins.He was one of those people who could laugh at himself and made everyone laugh with him. He was even funny when he lost his temper (most of the time).
There are so many funny stories, that he and the other AD's used to tell. We lost a GOOD ONE way to soon. R I P KEVIN

I knew I liked him before I even met him because he went and got Bethany out of school so they could be there for my son Eugene ( Gene ) Thomas as he left to go to Iraq and then when I finally got to meet him in person he and Connie couldn't have been any nicer. They treated my son like he was their own and when he told me the story of his traffic accident and the cherry pie I must have laughed for an hour, and that made me like him even more because he was a man who could laugh at himself. Such a great man. He will be missed. Thanks for raising such a beautiful daughter to be part of my family. Rest in peace.
