Mrs. Madelaine S. Gaffney's Obituary
Madelaine S. Gaffney, age 74, of Nashville, TN, passed away on Sunday, August 25, 2019. She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Edith Kemper. She is survived by her daughter Samantha Streit (Thomas); two sisters, Melanie Weinhardt (Robert), Marilyn Lehr (Paul); three grandchildren, Kylie Mitchell, Piper Mitchell, Cadence Streit. Madelaine was very devout in her faith, loved cats, and spending time with her grandchildren. She was feisty and full of energy. Friends and co-workers considered her a dedicated worker and very loyal. She always put others before herself. Madelaine proudly served her country in the United States Navy for 3 years and worked at the VA Hospital in Nashville for 30 + years. She will be missed by all those who knew her and loved her.
Visitation for Madelaine will be held on Thursday, August 29, 2019 from 4 PM until 8 PM. Graveside services will be conducted on Friday, August 30, 2019 at 10:30 AM with Navy Honors. Friends and family are requested to meet at the funeral home to go in procession to the cemetery at 10 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Alzheimers Association of Nashville, 478 Craighead St #200, Nashville, TN 37204.
