I spent many a wonderful hours listening to Mr. Mac's beautiful voice, got to play bass at a very young age with Mr. Mac, then, many times over the years with my parents family band, The Cross Family from South Georgia. Rest In Peace, there will never be another with a voice or the most wonderful personality. I am proud I got to cross paths in life with him.
Beautiful music and a beautiful man! A voice that was golden..God Bless

A great loss not only to his family, but also to his many fans. His gift of music will be greatly missed not only by me but his many fans. Deepest sympathy.
This comes from Mount Airy, North Carolina where many memories were made by Mac at WPAQ.

Mac Wiseman was a great Bluegrass singer. I remember listening to him singing on some of Bill Monroe's early songs. At the time I didn't realize who was singing with Bill. Later on, someone told me nobody could sing " I Wonder How the Old Folks Are At Home" like Mac Wiseman and I bought a record with it on it. Then I realized who had sung with Bill Monroe who had that voice I loved. Truly he was a great singer and will be missed by many of us. Also, I would like to extend my condolences to his family.
SUCH A GREAT HUMAN BEING, NOW A SOARING SPIRIT...THOSE LUCKY ANGELS🕉️
